Rishin N. Desai
D.M.D

Dr. Desai is originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania and completed his undergraduate and dental degrees through a combined program offered by Muhlenberg College and The University of Pennsylvania. Being the son of a dentist, he had an interest in pursuing periodontics at an early age and entered into his residency at The University of Rochester immediately following dental school. It was there that he gained a deep respect for the profession as he honed his skills in both periodontal and implant surgery. Dr. Desai spent four years in Philadelphia working in private practice and further exploring the various aspects of periodontal and implant dentistry. In Philadelphia, he worked closely with one of the pioneers in implant dentistry and gained a large amount of experience in implant placement utilizing the Osteotome Sinus Technique...

Shyam Shah
D.M.D

Dr. Shah is originally from Western Massachusetts. He completed his training in Periodontology from New York University after completing both his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Dentistry Degree from Boston University. He is well grounded in the newest technological advances in the dental field, including computer guided implant placement and treatment. Dr. Shah returned to Western Massachusetts after completing his training and worked for a few years under his mentor which allowed him to apply his knowledge and hone his skills. Dr. Shah now resides in Round Rock with his stunning wife and two children.

In his free time Dr. Shah enjoys playing soccer, spending time with his son and daughter, and tinkering with computers and other electronics.

Nadia, RDH
Dental Hygienist

Nadia, who is not a native Austinite, got here as soon as possible, getting into UT and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then decided to go back to school, getting her Associates Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Temple College. She is a member of the Association of Dental Hygienists and loves educating her patients on dental health.
Nadia and her fiancé Nik live in Austin now, and love traveling, playing board games with their friends, and hanging out with their two dogs Nimbus and Nova.

Neda
VP Operations

Neda is currently on the leadership team at Central Texas Periodontics. Her main role is to oversee all operations across all locations. She brings over 15-years experience of extensive administrative and business experience in the dental industry, as well as 10 years of experience as an educator. Neda has led the growth of a startup periodontal practice from a single location to the 5 locations it now has in the Austin metro area. Her experience as an educator has allowed her the ability to create practice specific SOP’s as well as personalized content for team members to enhance the teams culture while increasing proficiency and productivity to result in an increase in EBITDA in the 5 offices in just a short time.

Neda prides herself in her ability to work with all parts of the dental teams, from the business side to clinical and administrative, and collaborate and communicate between the three different teams to provide exceptional patient care experience, and a positive upbeat team culture.

Neda received her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Texas San Antonio and a masters in Curriculum and Instruction with focus on literacy from the University of Texas Arlington.

Shamica RDA
Clinical Director

Shamica has worked with Dr. Callia since 2010. She lives in Georgetown with her 2 children and their puppy, Rocco. She enjoys her simple, country life and loves to hang out with her kids. She has been an assistant since 2010 and has a very special way of making patients feel comfortable and relaxed in the chair. She is easy going and always has a positive word for everyone.

Percy
New Patient Coordinator

Percy has been a patient coordinator since October 2021 , and Joined CTP in
November 2022. Percy is a very vibrant and sociable individual. He enjoys participating
in children's charity activities and loves music and art.

Cleo
New Patient Coordinator

Cleo has been an office assistant since 2019 and joined CTP IN November 2022. Cleo is an avid reader. She also enjoys traveling and art.

Jennifer
Treatment Coordinator

Jennifer, our friendly treatment coordinator, recently moved to Austin with over 2 years of experience. We are delighted to have her on our team. She enjoys welcoming patients, making sure they feel comfortable at the office. In her spare time she loves being with family, going to the movies, and doing outdoor activities!

Mia
Treatment Coordinator

Mirella, or as we love to call her “Mia” has been in the dental field since 2020, and joined CTP in August of 2022. Mia enjoys meeting new people and helping anyone out. She enjoys spending time with her family, loves horror films, dancing, baking, traveling and loves her pups Rocco and Yogi. She travels to Guanajuato, Mexico twice a year to spend her time with family members and takes the time to relax with them. She is continuing school at ACC in hopes of becoming a bilingual teacher.

Chelleby RDA
Dental Assistant

Chelleby has been a dental assistant since Dec 2015 and has been with CTP since July 2016. She loves her job and wouldn’t change it. Chelleby enjoys making patients feel as comfortable as she can and loves making patients laugh. She has lived in Georgetown since 2011. She has a wonderful husband, daughter and a great pyrenees named Loki. In her free time, she enjoys anything involving art, including painting.
